The short version: 01 Ethos does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything happens on your device.

Local AI Commitment

01 Ethos runs an AI language model directly on your iPhone using Apple Silicon. All inference — every reflection question and pattern analysis — happens on your device. No text you type or record is ever sent to a server for processing.

Data Collection

We collect nothing. 01 Ethos does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or crash reports with us or any third party.

No Name/Email required (No account exists).
No tracking of behaviors, events, or notes.
No device identifiers or IP logging.
No third-party SDKs (Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.).

Storage & Control

All data is stored locally in your device's app sandbox. You have absolute control over your information:

Clear Data: You can reset specific behaviors or clear all logs in Settings.
Full Reset: Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all data instantly.

Model Files

The only network interaction the app performs is a one-time download of the AI model weights (~300 MB) when you first set up the app. This is a direct file transfer. No personal information is associated with this request.

Third Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services. Your usage is invisible to us.
